What is CUHOP?
It is an association of the Heads of the c.25 UK schools of pharmacy – all based within universities.  These persons carry the responsibility for the management of their Schools to their university Vice Chancellors and for formal liaison with the national degree-accrediting body, presently the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain but shortly to be replaced by the General Pharmaceutical Council.

What is CUHOP’s view on the future of the pharmacy profession in the UK?
CUHOP has submitted evidence to all relevant enquiries and within all relevant consultation exercises by or behalf of Government or the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.  Its present position (July 2008) can be summarised as hopeful for and supportive of a vibrant and inclusive professional leadership body emerging.  Indeed. if the right sort of body emerges, CUHOP does not rule out the possibility of some formal affiliation to it.
